Missing in action

Elizabeth May of the Green Party

You know I have subscribed to the email newsletters from the four major parties, yes that includes the Harper Conservatives but it is interesting to compare the newsletters being sent out to subscribers.  Yes they all ask for donations, and NO, I have not contributed one penny to any of the four political parties, yet.

But what is interesting is which party is asking for money the most, with basically nothing else in the newsletter, and which party is the most infrequent in actually sending out newsletters.

I mean seriously, it is a relatively cheap way to contact potential voters, and with the right software, can actually make you feel like you are important to the big shots.

where is the Green Party online So where is the Green Party?

After all, you would think they would have the biggest online presence, given their stance on the environment, and lets be honest, emails leave very little footprints as compared to hard copy mailers that the NDP send out.

With the end of each fund raising quarter, each party tries to entice me to send them a few bucks, the Liberals with their $3 gambit, the NDP with their $5 one and the Conservatives with a whole range of donation amounts.  Yet the party who has the least, who has one sole member in Parliament, rarely sends out anything.

So just how serious does the Green Party want to be taken, if they can’t manage a simple email campaign, to keep potential members informed of their goals, policies, and yes, fund raising.
