More refugees try to cross the cold snow drifts to avoid the anti-immigrant policies of the United States, it is good to know that we treat them as people. When our RCMP can stand Guard and help those in need, it gives one a sense of pride. More than that, IT DEFINES OUR COUNTRY vs THE UNITED STATES OF TODAY.
Getting old is not what I envisioned it to be. Far from it actually but I wonder, if once you reach an age, it becomes pointless to try, or is the old saying of it never being too late, does apply? Guess it is something I will need to find out, or at least give it a try. Waiting for that final breath isn’t working.
Gotta feel sorry for the folks over in Newfoundland Labrador. Here I am sitting out in the sun, in shirt sleeves while they are shoveling snow. Doesn’t seem fair, but heck, it is life and well, come on no such thing as Climate Change, right Stephen Harper?
Sooke Subway owner actually does care about his customers. I know, hard to believe, but he did respond to our complaint, and made good on it too. Now that is how you run a real business, caring about your customers.
Honestly, where is the quality today in fast foods? Should we even expect to get what we order, or is that also a thing of the past? Having a sub from Sooke Subway is supposed to be about eating a bit healthier than a burger, but still, is that any reason to ignore a customer’s request for garnishes and toppings?
Maybe we should start to think about just who is losing money with the lower Loonie? Yes, we end up paying more, but is it really because the Loonie is low, or could it be because we have sold all our Canadian Businesses to foreign interests? We export food, fruit, veggies, so uh, how come we pay more than those who buy our exports?
Who doesn’t enjoy a bargain? I know I do, and frankly with todays prices, thankfully there ar some decent discount Dollar stores around, like This ‘n That in Sooke. Cheapest price for cigarettes and other stuff, plus they even rent DVDs.
